NWT election 2019: Who’s running, and where – Cabin Radio

The writ has been issued and the election period is upon us. The Northwest Territories goes to the polls on October 1, 2019, to elect 19 MLAs for the next four years.

For the first time, eligible residents can vote online by signing up for an absentee ballot in advance. If you’ll be 18 or over on October 1, qualify as an NWT resident, and are a Canadian citizen, make sure you’re registered to vote.

With the writ now issued, Elections NWT will spend the first week of September confirming the names of nominated candidates.

Where this page used to state who is expected to run, once a candidate is confirmed as nominated by Elections NWT, we will change their status to show they officially are running.
